Slavic Shop - Authentic European Imported Foods in San Jose, CA

I was kind of hoping for you to refine my review of the Slavic Shop European market which was the first time I've been here and it's sort of a grocery store but I ordered dinner starting with dessert then a little entree and ending with some sort of sweet and dessert like treat that I've never had anything like before in fact I never had any of it before and it was very affordable and the service was fantastic my head is spinning I'm so happy with that dinner The final thing I ate was like a dessert again it's almost a hybrid between a potato pancake and a donut only it's kind of a pastry with rum raisin and a cream cheese type flavor going on I really don't have any basis for comparison it doesn't really matter because it is incredible Wow the se pastries with meat inside of them are absolutely incredible it's like a ground beef or sausage I'm not sure which but the flavors are amazing the meat is baked into a flaky yet still buttery and a little bit chewy dough. I've never had anything quite like it and I can't believe I've been missing out on this long in life as I'm nearly 45. Shopping there for Christmas feast for my family was a genuinely enjoyable experience. The store offers a distinctive mix of Eastern European products. The atmosphere is inviting and the stuff was very friendly. I just finished dinner enjoying their "shuba" salad and the meat assortments. It was delicious. Definitely worth of visit and recommend to a freind.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this place! Slavic Shop is my go-to European store in San Jose. The staff is always busy but very friendly and welcoming. I keep coming back for my favorite imported items and their in-store made products — the taste never disappoints. There’s such a great variety that I always end up trying something new. Prices are very competitive considering these are imported goods with high tariffs. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly for my favorites and new finds!

Visiting this store was a real delight. The variety of genuine products is impressive, with everything from fresh staples to rare specialties you can’t find in other shops. The deli section is outstanding, full of authentic Slavic flavors, freshly prepared items, and specialties you won’t find elsewhere. Everything is fresh, beautifully displayed, and absolutely worth trying. The space is spotless and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. It genuinely feels like stepping back home. I can’t recommend it enough.

Good variety of Slavic, Eastern European & Northern European ready-to-cook (refrigerated and frozen) foods. Also a great variety of food ingredients, condiments and, of course candy and "sweets".

I love this store and Sasha is always so friendly and helpful in guiding me to find products I will enjoy. His selection of sausages is incredible. I highly recommend a visit to Slavic Shop

I've been going to Slavic Shop for more than 4 years. I'm American but always liked European food and was introduced to this great store by my European friend. This store has a wonderful selection of different meats, seafood, sweets, candies... I love many of Ukrainian dessert wines in this store. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, especially the owner of the store and Bella. I cannot speak their languages, but with the help of their workers, I always find something delicious. I reallly recommend this store for anyone, who likes European food and great customer service!

I had a great experience at this Ukrainian store. They have a wonderful selection of authentic products, everything from fresh foods to unique treats you can’t find anywhere else. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It feels like a little piece of home. Highly recommend!
